We did research on your website and Angie's list and saw so many wonderful reviews. We called and you all responded in a very timely manner. Ryan was able to see the problem and although unable to fix as the door was too old and abused. After speaking with him, we decided to have Precision install a new door. Technician came out, collected $80, and left. Said he couldn't repair the brand we had. But when we scheduled the visit, we told the person on the phone what brand we had. One would think she could have said something to us then...

We have looked into the matter and have on record that you called with the complaint of the door not working as well as stating that you had an Overhead model. On this call you were also made aware of the service fee for the Santa Fe area to drive to your location and inspect your door. Upon this inspection, the technician found that there was no power supplied to your opener (regardless of model). Our technicians come to each home with fully-stocked trucks to service almost any garage door need. Our service fee is competitively priced and allows us to offer quality service to our customers at the time of their need. I'm sorry you were not satisfied with your experience. Lorenzo Herrera did the work at my house and he did an excellent job. He left me his card with his phone no. on it and just after he left I discovered that something was not working right, so I called him and he turned around immediately and came back and corrected it. I had to leave to go to a meeting and so I left him there alone and was not concerned at all. The garage door has worked perfectly.

I discovered I had a broken torsion spring. I called Precision on Sunday night. I actually got a real person on the phone - on Sunday night. She was very courteous and efficient. She set me up for an appointment on Monday, the next day. She explained the service charge. We are about 50 miles from the company. She answered all my questions. I also used their chat service on their website and got immediate response to my additional questions. Monday Rudy called about 30 minutes before his scheduled appointment time (a 2 hour window). He arrived about 5 minutes before the early part of the 2 hour range). He examined the garage door and lift, and although it was easy to see the broken spring, he listened intently and patiently to my explanations and questions. After he checked everything out he gave me 3 options with quotes, and explained all the details and answered all of my questions. ( 3 options - 1) get the door working (would have to replace springs, and 90 day warranty) - 2) replace springs and one or 2 bearings - 1 year warranty, 3) complete overhaul of all moving parts (all bearings, new springs, new rollers, lubricate and checkout everything with lifetime warranty ). I chose the complete overhaul and am glad I did, the garage door and everything but the lift is 20 years old. Rudy then asked me to move my car out of the garage so he could get to work. (we had been away for about 1 month and the car had been sitting idle in the garage - of course it wouldn't start). Rudy helped me get the car started, and we got it out of the garage, so Rudy to get to work. In less than 40 minutes, Rudy was finished, and we went over what he did. He explained everything in detail. He had to fix some of the brackets and hinges on the door, he had to move the shaft over, so the new bearings would sit on smooth part of shaft. He also checked out all remotes ( I had one the wouldn't program, which he fixed and explained to me what needed to be done), and the keypad. The door now moves smoothly and quietly. And I have a lifetime transferrable warranty on all moving parts, except the opener which had been replaced recently. I would definitely use Precision Garage Door again, and will highly recommend to all friends and neighbors!!! Rudy was great.

Was VERY grateful that your company (and Gary Lang!) could so quickly respond (within 2 hours) to my 2-car garage door's broken spring (because both cars were trapped inside and the door can not be lifted by an individual!). Other companies I called (before yours) were promising to be here in several days. Gary L did a superb job. My springs have been replaced at least 2-3 time in the past 20+ years (heavy door!). But, I don't think the door ever has worked so effortlessly as Gary's work! It wasn't the "cheapest" work ever, but worth it. Thanks. GB
