Rudy was on time, friendly, was able to diagnose my problem quickly. I actually thought I did not have a problem, and was just humoring my wife! But he found an actual problem, and we needed a new motor/assembly. He installed the new drive in 30 minutes flat! Precision door service was there when I needed them. My spring broke and I needed repair ASAP. I called for an appointment and they had a technician at my house within two hours of the call. Rudy the lead technician was able to replace the broken spring and service my garage door (which needed some care) and complete the job in less than two hours. Rudy was great to deal with and very professional. I would recommend Precision Door Service to anyone that needs this type of service!

I discovered I had a broken torsion spring. I called Precision on Sunday night. I actually got a real person on the phone - on Sunday night. She was very courteous and efficient. She set me up for an appointment on Monday, the next day. She explained the service charge. We are about 50 miles from the company. She answered all my questions. I also used their chat service on their website and got immediate response to my additional questions. Monday Rudy called about 30 minutes before his scheduled appointment time (a 2 hour window). He arrived about 5 minutes before the early part of the 2 hour range). He examined the garage door and lift, and although it was easy to see the broken spring, he listened intently and patiently to my explanations and questions. After he checked everything out he gave me 3 options with quotes, and explained all the details and answered all of my questions. ( 3 options - 1) get the door working (would have to replace springs, and 90 day warranty) - 2) replace springs and one or 2 bearings - 1 year warranty, 3) complete overhaul of all moving parts (all bearings, new springs, new rollers, lubricate and checkout everything with lifetime warranty ). I chose the complete overhaul and am glad I did, the garage door and everything but the lift is 20 years old. Rudy then asked me to move my car out of the garage so he could get to work. (we had been away for about 1 month and the car had been sitting idle in the garage - of course it wouldn't start). Rudy helped me get the car started, and we got it out of the garage, so Rudy to get to work. In less than 40 minutes, Rudy was finished, and we went over what he did. He explained everything in detail. He had to fix some of the brackets and hinges on the door, he had to move the shaft over, so the new bearings would sit on smooth part of shaft. He also checked out all remotes ( I had one the wouldn't program, which he fixed and explained to me what needed to be done), and the keypad. The door now moves smoothly and quietly. And I have a lifetime transferrable warranty on all moving parts, except the opener which had been replaced recently. I would definitely use Precision Garage Door again, and will highly recommend to all friends and neighbors!!! Rudy was great.

I called on Sunday night requesting service ASAP as my door was stuck up. The service rep I spoke to said they had sent the on call tech home and could not send anyone until the next day. I pleaded with him that I was concerned about have my door open all night and that the ad says 24 hour service, but he wouldn't help me. Very dissapointing. Was VERY grateful that your company (and Gary Lang!) could so quickly respond (within 2 hours) to my 2-car garage door's broken spring (because both cars were trapped inside and the door can not be lifted by an individual!). Other companies I called (before yours) were promising to be here in several days. Gary L did a superb job. My springs have been replaced at least 2-3 time in the past 20+ years (heavy door!). Wow where do we start! First of all, we came home late one Friday evening to find out that our garage door would not open PERIOD! How we all take things for granted, right? We live in Los Lunas and have nobody locally here, so I found Precision Garage Door in the ABQ Yellow Pages with 24-hr. service offered. Even though we didn't opt to take advantage of the 24-hr. service, which they would have accommodated, they scheduled us immediately for the next day, Saturday. A technician by the name of Lorenzo Herrera showed up on time, actually earlier, professionally dressed in a company vehicle, and immediately assessed our problem, a broken spring. He recommended replacing both springs (since we had not repaired nor serviced for approx. 9 yrs) and did a full 25-pt. inspection and replaced some hardware and rollers that were needing replacement also. We opted to take the lilfe-time warranty as the pricing was reasonable and felt at ease knowing if this happens again, with these products, they will be here resolving at no additional cost. We would HIGHLY recommend this top-notched company and will be giving a business card to our neighbors in our sub-division to use. Lorenzo was very knowledgeable and kind and explained our options, with no sale pressure. Thank you for being there for us in our time of need!!

Perhaps, more importantly, he identified and fixed the alignment problems that caused the premature failure of the old spring in the first place.
