I really think when you do the initial call to even schedule an appointment over the phone the representative should advise you that the service charge for coming out is added to the bill regardless if you get the work done or not. Most companies deduct the service charge from your bill if you get the work done. Hope this review is helpful for some one else because I thought i was calling Rio Rancho garage doors. The only thing that made this experience ok was that the technican was a very nice guy

Our service call charge is quoted on the phone as a trip charge which includes us coming to you within 24 hours of your call, our 25-point safety inspection and a professional tailored service recommendation to your specific garage door needs. While many of our package prices do include this service call, you only needed minor repairs to your opener which is more of an "a la carte" solution. Again, thank you for your business and I am glad your technician took care of you satisfactorily.

The garage door was installed in May of last year by your company. Exceptional service always. The repairman was on time and had the job done in 10 minutes. The only complaint I have is that the repair cost me. $250.00. I found that a little excessive.

Thank you for your review and I apologize that our pricing seemed a little excessive. The amount you were charged for the off-drum / crash charge, along with our trip charge, are both standard price sheet charges. We have these standard priced items on a laminated price list so we can show this to our customers - giving them the knowledge these are in fact standard prices. A door in the condition that your door was in when our technician arrived, requires that the technician take all remaining tension of the torsion springs, re-set the entire torsion system and rewind the torsion cable around the drum(s), and then rewind the torsion springs and re-balance the door. These steps are dangerous given the tension in the springs and requires both the necessary experience and correct tools to accomplish safely and with lasting results. Again, thank you for your feedback and I hope the explanation above has been helpful.

He did a great job in putting in a new spring. Needed to have the rollers replaced; the 12 year old rollers were very, very noisy/squeaky and silicon spray provided only a brief fix. I called around noon and set up an appt for 2 pm - 4 pm. Service tech Will called me earlier than the agreed upon window of time to let me know he was available to come earlier if that would be helpful to me. It was and I appreciated that. He was easy to communicate with and very professional. He installed the new rollers within a matter of minutes. I am a repeat customer, having required Precision Door's assistance back in Nov 2009. Both service appointments went well. I highly recommend these guys and would hire them again!

The service was excellent, and Rudy was quick, friendly, and professional! If I was reviewing his performance alone I'd definitely give a 5 star rating. However, my complaint is with the mark up on parts, while I understand you are a business and need to make money, $189.95 for rollers seems extreme. I looked them up after the fact, and the most expensive set I could find on-line was $59.99, with most sets being in the $20 range.

I'd just like to assure you that our rollers are definitely superior to others' as they are truly no-maintenance since they are made of a very durable nylon and are protected with a specialized dust cap to avoid needing lubrication as others do. I expected a tuneup, not just a grease job and a sales pitch to buy a $500 opener. I can grease it myself.

I am sorry that you were disappointed in your service! You purchased our Lube and Tune Special which in part includes lubrication of your door and opener parts with our lithium-based lubricant. This is advisable annually to maintain reliable, quiet operation and safety. However, also included was our 25-point garage door safety inspection (page 3 of your invoice) consisting of inspecting and servicing tracks, rails, checking nuts bolts and replacing any that are missing if necessary, inspection and advice on springs, cables, pulleys, center bearings, drums, torsion bar, jamb and flag brackets, hinges, general panel condition, opener, gear and sprocket assembly, weather seal, bottom rubber, wall button and remotes. We offer this service to ensure that your entire system is working optimally. Any findings or recommendations our technicians report are for your information and consideration and can be purchased additionally as the customer sees fit. Thank you for your business and feedback.
