I had an old sixties garage door. Precision installed an new door with a garage door opener. I was impressed with their knowledge, their professionalism, their attention to my needs and safety. They were finished in no time and cleaned up beautifully after themselves. They did a great job, and I would use them again w/out question, except that I already have this great new garage door that works perfectly.

Late on a Saturday afternoon, the wheels on one side of our garage door came off the track and the door was stuck open. I looked on the internet for advice about what to do and the first video I watched said, "Call a professional!" That is what we did. GARY was outstanding: he arrived ahead of schedule, tested the door, explained the situation and then provided three alternatives for repair. We went with the most expensive because the opener, remotes and control panels were from sometime in the early 90s. We had replaced the door a few years back, but everything else was original and the door made enough noise to wake the dead every time it was opened or closed. After Gary finished, it is nearly silent and is operating the way it should. We couldn't be more pleased. We had several services performed and purchased both repairs and parts but we could select only one from the drop down menus below. Many thanks!

Technician told me that nearly every part on my garage door opener was worn our and needed to be replaced. This was total BS - my garage door and opener are only three years old. I do not appreciate this type of selling unnecessary parts and service. One star is too many.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I'm sorry you were not satisfied in your visit, we take this very seriously. In reviewing your 25-point inspection I can see that out of the 25 areas we inspect your technician identified three (3) areas of concern on your door – end bearings, center bearing, and rollers. It is also noted that your technician suggested that since you have a heavy-duty Level 3 door, and only three (3) years old, it should still be under warranty. He suggested that you first contact the company that installed the door to see if the worn parts were in fact covered under warranty. In regards to your opener/operator, you shared with the technician that you had attempted to get the operator working and when doing so the belt broke. Since the opener/operator was inoperable we were unable to conduct the inspection on the seven (7) areas on our 25-point inspection related to the opener/operator - other than of course the broken belt on the trolley. The technician explained to you that we do not fix this brand of opener and that he was not aware of other companies that did. The reason for this is that many times getting parts for economy model operators often cost more than buying the same model new. Under these circumstances, in order to offer you a solution that would get your garage functioning properly at the time of the visit, the technician offered to replace the unit with one we sell and install, which I understand was upsetting to you. I'm sorry we could not offer you a solution to your satisfaction and appreciate the chance to do business with you.

Have used precision since 2003. Always get excellence service. Had broken spring on garage door. Technician noticed wear and tear on panels at hinges and got door running with splice block while new panels are ordered. Kept all receipts from door install and everything is under warranty.

After more than one unhappy service experience with the seller/installer of my garage door, I was cautious after arranging an appointment with Precision Garage Door. However, I need not to have worried. My technician was Lorenzo and he did a fabulous job. First of all, he is very personable. He explains thoroughly how he is going to approach the situation, gives you multiple, detailed options for solution and the pros (and any limitations) of each, and then walks you through all the work completed. The end result was my door was functioning (first objective!), performs quieter than I thought possible, and I'm confident in both my door and any service I might ever need in the future. My only regret is that Precision Garage Door doesn't service Rio Arriba County for my other garage!

Noticed I had a frayed cable on our garage door. Called Precision on Sunday and they said no extra charge for Sunday. They said Gary could be there between 2 and 4. He called about 1:45 and said he was 10 minutes away. He looked at the door and figured out what was causing the cable to fray. He suggested a overhead spring as it would last. He had it installed in about an hour. The door works great and I would recommend Precision to anyone.

We used Precision a few years ago to repair a broken garage door spring and they were great. Recently we have been looking to install upgraded garage doors (carriage doors) to increase the value of our home and improve the outward appearance. Like the review below, at first we were frustrated a tech had to come out for the estimate. It seems like we should get an estimate online. However, unlike the review below, we are extremely glad we had Lorenzo come out for our estimate! He took the time to measure our doors (odd size), review clearance concerns with the types of doors we wanted, honestly evaluate the condition of our existing hardware, take into consideration the environment where we live and many more factors. He made several phone calls to confirm various factors. The price was far lower than we expected. We were also pleased to learn Precision not only hauls off old doors, but recycles them! And the warranty was excellent for the doors, finish, hardware, etc. In this day and age of instant gratification, it's people like Lorenzo that make us slow down and realize that is is worthwhile to get an expert to really understand the situation. Had we gone with an order from someone who didn't come look at our home, we'd have garage doors that wouldn't work or had limited warranties. Not only was Lorenzo knowledgeable and meticulously thorough, he was extremely polite and even arrived 5 minutes early (to a 1.5 hr appointment time slot - that never happens!). We highly recommend Precision and Lorenzo.

When I was having problems with my garage door I had called several places. I found Precision to be helpful and when the technician came over he wasnt pushing me for a sale. This I really liked. He took the time to explain everything and what I could afford was within my budget.
