My neighbor informed me that the best garage door company in Santa Fe is Precision Door Service. Lorenzo arrived on time and discussed options of repairing the garage door versus replacement. I decided to replace the garage door since it was old, ugly and needed a lot of work. In fact the old door only had one spring instead of two! Their prices were very reasonable and I highly recommend them.

The technician (James) who came out was professional, friendly and honest. He explained things to me in a way I could understand, didn't pressure me to buy things I didn't need and told me what would probably fail in the future. I had a mishap with the garage door on a Sunday that caused it to stop working. We called Precision about 9am on Monday and they were at our house by about 10:30 the same day. By 11:30 the door had been fully repaired. Outstanding service. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for, I believe. Highly recommended.

Precision solved my garage door problem admirably. My remote battery was dead. I tried replacing the battery, but I couldn't get it to work. Precision sent Lorenzo right away. He did a wonderful job. He explained that the garage opener motor had to be programmed to accept the new battery. Or, something like that! He checked the doors and fixed the batteries. He was very polite, friendly and helpful. I've just been in the habit of contacting Precision when needed; I haven't seen any advertising. They came very fast, but I couldn't arrange the appointment until the next day because of my own schedule.

Our garage door bracket that fastened pulls and lifts fits the garage door failed. Tony Acker the technician brought to our attention that the springs and rollers were very old and needed replacing. We are new residents to Placitas. The home we purchased left a business card for Precision Garage Doors. We contacted them regarding our garage door malfunctions, six months after we moved in to our new residence. We were very pleased with the communication and scheduling arrangements. Our tech was Lorenzo. He was very efficient, knowledgeable and completed an overhaul of our entire system, which was apparently 20 years old (the original installation).
