A spring broke in our garage door. We called a company we have used for years and they gave us a price to replace the old door, but they also added about $500 that we would have to build out ONE side of the garage on the outside to accommodate the new door. We couldn't understand that because 16' is a standard garage door. We decided to get a 2nd opinion of the situation. The Precision ad in the phone book was what caught our attention 1st, 2nd was that they could fit into their schedule to come out that same day, 3rd was the young man who came to look at the situation and give us a price on a new door. He was in a very well marked vehicle, he was in a uniform that said who he was and what company he worked for. He did not have to call the office to get a quote for a new door or for other questions he could not answer. He answered all our questions and had a book to show us a picture of the new door as well as he gave us a price then. All that added up to our buying a new garage door. It was installed today by two professionals who worked well together, kept busy until it was installed, the old door ready to haul off and cleaned up after themselves. We will recommend Precision Door Co to any friends and neighbors to meet their needs in a professional manner.

Gary was prompt, fantastic, quick, and overall, I had an excellent customer service experience, especially on a no notice weekend call. Before calling Precision, I had called ABC and Overhead door and would not do business with them in the future based on their lack of customer service and support. During the service call, I asked Gary about three new garage doors for my home, and he wrote up a very detailed estimate and quote. We are planning on putting on new garage doors on within the next 6 months, and will call Precision Door, and Gary, to do this for us. Your excellent service and prompt service earned our business.

I was very pleased with Precision's service. Their web page is very informative and easy to navigate. I was able to reach a friendly operator after hours to set up an appointment the next day. Technician arrived promptly, he was very personable and professional. He assessed the job and explained my options without the hard sell. He answered all my questions and gave me tips on door maintenance. Job was completed in a timely manner. I have dealt with other door companies in Albuquerque over the last 25 years and have completed/attempeted repairs on my own. Gary was great. Called 20 minutes before arrival. Came out to replace broken spring. This is the first technician I ever had do a complete inspection on the garage door and noticed a few problems. We talked over the needed repairs and agreed on the repairs. All repairs were completed in ~ 1 hour and the door operates better than new. Would recommend Precision to anyone needing a garage door repair or any other work.

I called and asked for a free estimate. Availability was great, and they were able to send a tech out the next morning. I was bewildered and disappointed to find that the estimate was free, but there was a service charge of $49.95+tax for the tech to come out and give the estimate.

Within 30 minutes of my call to your office for a repair of a new Genie Garage Door opener installed this past July, Mr. Noriega contacted me to come out for a service call within the hour. He arrived promptly and spent 45 minutes trying to repair my dead Genie. When it was determined that it could not be fixed he took down the old opener and installed a nerw Precision opener in less than an hour. My husband and I are very pleased with the new opener. He was able to complete the quote within minutes and inform me off all that is involved. He was almost able to install it today as well which really impressed me. I feel as though I was taken advantage in February when I was charged $500 when it was obvious that the entire door would need to be replaced at some point in the near future. I wish I had been informed of the parts that were compromising the door at that time. Now I'm getting a new door including the hinges and rollers I paid for in February.

Kris, Our technician that was out to your house, both in February and again in October, was Rudy. I appreciate your feedback and concern that perhaps we could have identified additional issues in February. I have since reviewed both your February invoice and 25-point inspection, and feel that what we did identify in February Rudy recommended you repair and you did. Our inspection in February did not identify any issues other than those that we repaired – the Garage Door Operator trolley and the rollers. Unfortunately, there is no way in advance to know just when a Torsion Spring is going to break, which is why we were called out now in October. What we repaired in February, and your broken Torsion spring now in October, are two separate and different issues. It was not obvious to our technician, neither in February or now in October, that your door would need replacing. Our recommendation to you now in October is that replacing the main mechanics of your door (springs, bearings, & cables) is a more economical solution than a new door. The parts Rudy was recommending on your door would have come with a lifetime warranty versus a 1-3 year warranty with the new door you have purchased.
